Pliantele se recomanda sa fie tiparite pe hartie de grosime intre 90g/mp si 150g/mp. Operatiunea standard de finisare dupa tiparire este faltuirea, dar pentru hartii mai groase de 150g/mp este obligatorie biguirea, in caz contrar tiparul poate fi deteriorat aparand mici "crapaturi". Biguirea pliantelor tiparite este un finisaj tipografic ce presupune stanta si implica operatiunea de stantare. Pentru tipar pliante in tiraje foarte mari, pretul optim se obtine prin tiparirea pliantelor pe LWC, hartie speciala masinilor de tipar rotative.
